Jodrell Papers

Sir Paul Jodrell was a Fellow of St John’s College, Cambridge. M.D. 1786. Knighted 1787, when he became physician to the Nabob of Arcot. He died in 1803 at Madras.

Box 1 – Personal diary of medical visits, tours etc, 1792-93; letters to and from Lady Jodrell, 1795; legal case regarding an outstanding debt owed by the Nabob of the Carnatic; correspondence between Mr J. Seale and Warren Hastings, 1802.
