Papers relating to Mr Cochrane’s time working in Calcutta for MacNeill and Barry. The papers principally consist of diaries, many of which have letters and other documents attached. Also includes business and personal documents.

Mainly personal in content, the papers give also give insight into the early career of a Briton working in newly independent India.
