Worked in the United Provinces as a magistrate and Collector and from 1927 as Deputy Commissioner. 1921 – Bombay, Lucknow, Bulandshahr U.P. 1927 – Naini Tal. 1928 – Budam. 1929 – Allahabad. The letters cover his work and social life in a general way. The most prominant references to contemporary public and political events are those connected with the Pioneer and Leader newspapers. 325pp.
