The archives at the Centre of South Asian Studies are available
whenever the Centre is open. They comprise a unique collection covering many aspects of life in South Asia. We hold over 600 paper collections. There are
two lists available on the site: one gives details of the collections we hold in a short overview, the other is a detailed handlist. Photographic and
film collections are included in the overview of the archive, but are available in detail on a separate database (which is still under construction).
We also hold an archive of oral history recordings. The listing for this collection is still
under construction.
Our microfilm collection includes many South and Southeast Asian newspapers and periodicals, a number of collections of personal papers, graduate dissertations, a large
biographical archive and government papers.
Rules regarding access to and use of the archive are available on this site and on request from the archivist |
