Brigadier G.F. Heaney, C.B.E., F.R.I.C.S., Surveyor General of India 1946-1951. Broad-ranging archive collection relating not only to the Survey of India, but also containing sketches and drawings, descriptive passages, notes on holidays, railways and tours (throughout India and Burma), as well as papers relating to murder cases and insurrection.
